This project connects the Language Teaching Methods students at U-M with an English as a Foreign Language methods course at the Institut Supérieur Des Sciences Humaines (ISSH), Université de Tunis El- Manar, Tunis. Students work in pairs or trios on structured activities that explore educational issues and teaching approaches from intercultural perspectives. They work on projects together, creating and critiquing lesson plans for language and cultural activities. The Tunisian instructional partner, Dr. Maha Cheikhrouhou (ISSH) was invited by the U-M English Language Institute (ELI), and awarded a Morley Scholarship to work with Dr. Brenda Imber (ELI) to develop materials for the teaching of pronunciation and to explore the successful strategies used by the ELI to integrate technology into pronunciation courses.
